Colon Hydrotherapy for Allergies

Colon hydrotherapy for allergies is a procedure that removes toxins from the bowels and stimulates the body’s immune system to fight off allergies in a natural way. Conventional medicine uses antihistamines and steroids to relieve the symptoms of allergies, but does nothing to remove the underlying cause of the body’s allergic reactions. Since allergies are affected by a faulty immune system, boosting the immune response is one approach that can be used to prevent allergic reactions. Colon hydrotherapy cleans the body’s internal system, boosts the immune system, removes toxins, and brings the body into balance.

How Does Colon Hydrotherapy Help Allergies?

Toxins from nutrient-deficient fast food and junk food, environmental pollution and petrochemicals, pharmaceutical intake, and perfumed personal care products collect in our body. Add to that a lethargic lifestyle, lack of exercise, and increased stress from a fast-paced world, and our bodily functions slow down and perform poorly.

When this happens to our digestive system, our colon backs up. Our intestines retain that toxic sludge and cannot process nutrients. This is detrimental to the healthy balance in our bodies and leads to a number of ailments, such as allergies, skin problems such as acne, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Why Use Colon Hydrotherapy for Allergies?

Allergies, especially in children, are on the rise. Some say as many as a fifth or even a third of the population have allergies. Also rising are the rates of constipation, bowel cancer, and colon cancer. Improper bowel activity is a root cause for these maladies.

For a healthy adult, food should spend no longer than 24 hours in the body before passing gently through the system. For an overweight or lethargic person, or one who indulges in non-nutritious food, that time can be an unhealthy 60 hours. Food and toxins remain in the body longer, decaying, fermenting, and putrefying, thus allowing more time for toxins to be absorbed by the body. Some reports say that pockets in the intestines can trap food and toxins for decades. This decaying material injures the walls of the intestines and damages nerves, glands, tissues, and cells.

The purpose of the intestinal system is to absorb nutrients from food and distribute them through the blood supply to the rest of the body. But when the intestines are clogged and the blood is tainted by toxins, the body suffers. The immune system is threatened and the body becomes susceptible to food allergies and food sensitivies. The aim is to remove the cause of the blockage, cleanse the colon of all impedance, and restore the immune system so the body can heal itself. Colon hydrotherapy eliminates toxins, rebuilds and strengthens the intestines, and balances the body’s restorative systems.

The Relationship between the Colon and Allergies

When the body succumbs to the toxic effects of allergens, it wants to expel the toxins by producing body fluids, such as through sneezes, watery eyes and noses, urine, and feces. The colon plays a role in this expulsion. But if it is clogged and impacted and not fully functional, allergy symptoms can intensify and affect the rest of body.

Allergies themselves can cause the colon to be impeded. Sometimes a food allergic reaction will cause food to accumulate in the colon and result in constipation. The food is trapped and ferments, releasing toxins that the colon absorbs into the bloodstream. The allergic reaction is exacerbated and the body becomes woefully imbalanced.

What Is Colon Hydrotherapy?

A natural procedure that doesn’t use drugs or chemicals, colon hydrotherapy uses warm, filtered water to gently flush the large intestines of waste. The lower abdomen is gently massaged to help loosen internal material for easy evacuation. Practitioners of colon hydrotherapy aim to make the procedure discrete, relaxing, and comfortable.

By stimulating the body’s natural peristalsis, the procedure hydrates and cleanses the bowel, detoxifies the body, and strengthens the immune system. All of this puts the body’s natural processes and defenses into balance. When the body functions properly, you feel energized and healthy.

After only a few colonics, patients report improvements in their overall health. In addition to relieving allergies, colon hydrotherapy, by improving the immune system, relieves such health conditions as constipation, skin conditions such as acne, asthma, flatulence, irritable bowel, rheumatism, menstrual problems, and even emotional issues such as depression and anxiety.

What Are Allergies?

Allergies are an abnormal reaction of the immune system to specific substances. Allergies derive from a variety of sources, including food, such as the proteins in wheat, dairy, or peanuts; environmental and chemical, such as latex and perfumes; alcohol; plants, such as pollen, mold, and poison ivy; and animal sources, such as venom from bees or dander from pets. Symptoms include itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing, asthma, rashes and hives, and headache.

To relieve allergies, first try to locate the allergen causing the reaction. Look to diet, such as specific foods, food additives and preservatives. Also see if chemical pollutants, cigarette smoke, pollen, dust, or other irritants are affecting you. Many allergies are genetic. The key to fighting off allergens and reducing symptoms of discomfort is a strong immune system.
