What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon Hydrotherapy, also know as Colon Irrigation, High Colonic and simply a Colonic, is an alternative form of cleansing and healing for the physical body. A Colonic is a natural way to eliminate toxins from the colon by simply flushing the waste matter out of the colon using water, much like an enema but ten times more effective, comfortable, clean, and purifying.
The cleansing of the colon allows for the detoxification of the physical body in a holistic manner facilitating healing of any physical “dis-ease”.
Much like the concept of cleansing external parts of the physical body, cleansing the internal parts, more specifically the colon which extends approximately five to six feet long, allows for optimal health and homeostasis, or complete physical balance for an optimum immune system.
What came first the chicken or the egg?
From the 14th Century B.C. in Egypt to the modern era, many of the founders and past believers in Colonic Hydrotherapy as well as highly reputable physicians and medical practitioners agree that colon cleansing is one of the most beneficial forms of detoxification, valuable for the healing of an existing disease as well as the prevention of future illness.
During the 19th Century Professor Pierre Jacques Antoine Bechamp conducted numerous experiments determining that bacteria could arise within the cells of life in plants, animals and in humans if the tissues of the body are poisoned or injured. Bechamp’s research concluded that bacteria are the product of disease not the cause. People, thus, become ill when the system becomes off-balance. The tissue that surrounds the colon, can become susceptible to the growth of bacteria as a result of inner toxic waste, opposed to the invasion of the bacteria coming in from the outside world. Holistically then, the entire physical body experiences symptoms of disease. If the inner-environment was relatively clean, bacteria and viruses could not thrive.
Just as bags within garbage bins, there is the probability to develop all kinds of mold, bacteria, and decay, just as in the human colon. The body’s operating systems are forced to compensate for the condition if this bacterial composition persists over time. The body eventually loses the battle.
It is only a matter of time that eventually something in the body will breakdown and homeostasis is no longer possible. One would never consider keeping old household garbage in a kitchen or living room for weeks, months, or even years. The same holds true for the body; or the waste dump of the body, the colon. The cleansing of the colon, achieved through the process of Colon Hydrotherapy, will succeed in maintaining homeostasis and good health.
How does a clean and healthy colon maintain homeostasis?
Let’s say your garbage bag begins to become overfull with waste; would you continue to load trash upon trash into the bag without emptying it? Most likely, not. Just as garbage begins to develop an odor, grow bacteria, mold, develop viruses, and probably infect the entire home with its stench, so does the colon. Like our garbage, we must empty our colon before we decide to fill it up again.
There are eleven body systems that maintain a proper function of the body: Cardiovascular, Urinary, Respiratory, Lymphatic, Reproductive, Endocrine, Muscular, Skeletal, Integument, Nervous, and Digestive systems.
The colon is the receptacle for waste. And as the body takes in nutrients, air, water, oxygen, and food to keep it functioning properly, it correspondingly extracts or eliminates what it doesn’t need from the colon and excretes it from the body. Our goal is to prevent the build-up of waste and bacteria. The physical body receives the effects of the colon, which in turn create poisons and toxins, which are eventually absorbed into the entire body. The physical organs that process and move waste to the colon are impaired when the colon is full.
For example, one of the functions of the liver is to detoxify the ingested substances considered to be poisonous to the body, such as alcohol and nicotine. These toxic substances are usually filtered by the intestines. However, eventually the filter can get clogged and cease to function properly, which causes the absorption effect to occur.
On the other hand, when the colon is emptied, the liver may soon function normally, since it can release the poisons into the intestines without receiving them back for filtration. Most of the glands are affected in much the same way. A healthy colon will allow for optimum functioning of the body’s systems.
