occupational therapy information

Occupational Therapy is a form of care used to help individuals function better in daily life. It is used for both children and adults to help with both physical and mental difficulties.  Specialists in Occupational Therapy have passed national certification exams, as well as advance education degrees up to the Doctoral level.  Occupational Therapists are employed in a variety of settings to help individuals overcome issues such as repetitive stress injuries in the workplace to developmental disorders in children. Some Occupational Therapists work in hospitals settings to help individuals adjust to daily life after several disabling conditions such as strokes, burns, brain injuries, and even paralysis.
