So I haven't had a chance to tell you some of the best takeaways from
Speaker Bootcamp with James Malinchak.

My business partner Carey Peters turned me on to this guy and at first glance I thought, this guy is sooo cheesy!

Before I knew it though, my jaw was on the floor, credit card rebelliously jumping out of my pocket, ready to invest in EVERYTHING he offered.

This guy was so good at making offers, I was tempted to drop nearly $60,000. I'm not kidding. This dude is a master of seamless persuasion and "one-upping" the offer to completely knock anyone off the fence.

Now, you know that I study marketing. Intellectually, I was aware of the jedi mind tricks he was using... Even so, I was blindsided by his ability to up the ante and make the audience salivate!

In today's feature article, I gotta share with you a few juicy takeaways from James. What's funny is that I didn't sign up for any of his programs... however the credit card DID COME OUT.

Wanna know what I actually ended up doing with my money?

I donatedit! Or rather, I invested it...
Not $60,000, but let's just say it was a large sum for me. When I first called my husband to gush about giving away all this money to a great cause (empowering teenage girls) I thought he would be just as enthusiastic as me!

Well... his first reaction was just silence. I am laughing about it now, but at the moment I wanted him to feel what I was feeling. He probably thought I had lost my MIND! (Eventually he did come around and say he was really proud of me, I think he was just initially shocked.)

Making such a large donation is something that I've wanted to do for a long time, it was in my vision board for 2010! Yet since having a baby I felt like "I should be really careful with money, there's no extra to spare." (Old conditioning money mindset -- ugh.)

After investing this money to empower young women to become leaders, something incredible happened! An opportunity opened up to me that could turn into an unexpected million dollar joint venture before the end of 2010. Coincidence? Hmmm...

Recently I overheard someone say,

"The size of the opening you invest through is the same size opening you receive through."

All I can say is, if I had doubts about the magic circulation of money, those are gone. Something MAJOR shifted since giving away an amount of money that was outside of my comfort zone. I just keep slapping my knee and laughing out loud! The universe works in mysterious ways when you tune in and open up.

1) "Don't ever feel bad about charging high fees for sharing information that's common for YOU, but unknown to others!

2) What having a celebrity endorsement instantly does for you:

- You can leverage their name, title, PR, and exposure.
- You can leverage their connections and associations.
- More clients attract to you because they "perceive" you're a "somebody." Instant WOW factor. 
- Clients attract to you because they "perceive" your product/ service must "really be good" if "so-n-so" like it. (borrowed social proof)

3) Everyone wants these 3 things:
  1. Vision of what is possible
  2. Encouragement that it can be done
  3. Strategies for making it happen.

4) Free or low fee = lack of respect and lack of value for yourself and your great work!

5) 4 Biggest BS Tricks to watch out for!

1. "I want to talk with you about receiving a scholarship for your program."

2. "If you're program is so good, then let me do it for free, and I promise to refer others to you when I get results."

3. "I can't afford your program, but I'm going to be one of your best success stories, so let me in for free.

4. "Can I pick your brain for a minute?"

Haha. These crack me up! So true.
