Evan is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture Physician (FL),
Licensed Acupuncturist (CA) and Diplomat in Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
offering Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Nutritional Counseling,
and Massage.
Evan graduated from the American College of Traditional Chinese
Medicine with a Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese
Medicine. The accredited four-year 3,000 degree program provided
comprehensive training in Chinese Medicine as well as Western medical
anatomy, physiology, pathology, and physical exam, preparing graduates
to work in an integrative capacity with Medical Doctors.
Evan’s first career was working as a Design Engineer for Intel
Corporation, having been recruited during his senior year at Georgia
Tech. After five demanding years of cubical life, Evan begin to see the
detrimental effects of corporate life. During this time, he had already
spent several years studying Tai Chi Chuan (a form of martial art and
Taoist moving meditation). Evan’s mentor provided insight into the
wisdom of Taoist thought and health practices, leading him to start a
new career in this exciting alternative medicine field.
During his four years of graduate schooling in Chinese Medicine,
Evan’s clinical training included shifts at the California Pacific
Medical Center, Davis Campus on the Rehabilitation Floor; as well as
the ACTCM Community Clinic and Auricular Clinic. He also completed two
1.5 year extra-curricular apprenticeships during his training in the
arts of Tui Na Massage and Japanese Meridian Therapy.
Today, Evan primarily provides Balance Method Acupuncture treatments
from his post-graduate training with Dr Richard Tan. He also
incorporates Master Tung style acupuncture points during treatments for
internal disorders. Evan continues to study deeper aspects of the Yi
Jing (I Ching), Balance Method, Jimmy Chang’s Pulsynergy, and other
aspects of Taoism to enhance his clinical practice.
