  • Dick Thom brings an amazing life experience and credentials to HBBH. 
  • He is at once a talented clinician as well as an astute business owner.
  • He teaches both doctors and students both medical principles and proven business principles – hence the name HBBH: the Health of Business, the Business of Health.
  • Dr. Thom graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1974.
  • He obtained his first Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1986, and in 1989 he completed a second degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Oregon.
  • He is the past Chair of Naturopathic Medicine at NCNM, and currently is a professor teaching clinical and physical diagnosis, gastroenterology and neurology.
  • Dr. Thom lectures extensively and has written and collaborated on many articles dealing with energy medicines and nutrition. He is the author of “Coping with Food Intolerances” and “Unda Numbers: An Energetic Journey to Homeostasis and Wellness.”
  • In addition to his passion for medicine, his favorite hobby is ice hockey and he has been the treasurer for the Oregon Hockey Officials Association since 1993.

  • At HBBH, Lise is on the front-line and will directly support you and help with all of your seminar and course registrations, answer all of your questions, and show you what Total Customer Service looks like in the hands of an Expert.
  • A dedicated specialist herself, Lise graduated from the University of Toronto School of Dental Hygiene in 1973 – a field she worked in for thirteen years.
  • An avid learner, she then studied and practiced Massage Therapy and then Pharmacy Management, running this important function for a small business within a Portland Holistic Health Clinic.
  • She completed her yoga teacher training in 2001 and teaches a number of classes weekly in several outreach locations.
  • AND she managed to raise a family – while managing her successful career!
  • Lise uses her free time as a volunteer and with hobbies including belly-dancing.  She belongs to the Red Hat Society and is plugged in to the needs of women and her community.
