Who is Natural Neda?

A holistic approach
I practice a holistic approach to nutrition, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we look at how all parts of your life affect the whole.

Everything is food
Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual practice are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary.

No one diet works for everyone
The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has their own nutritional needs. So, when the experts say, “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” it’s too much of a generalization. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets don’t work in the long run. I look at how you live your life and teach you how to listen to your body's wisdom.  You will never have to go on another diet again.

Who Is Natural Neda?

As an emotional eater I have tried every diet around.  I have lived most of my years obsessing about what I was going to eat today or planning all of my meals for the following day.  My obsession with food prevented me from living my life.  Instead of dealing with my problems, I sought solace in dieting and calorie counting.  My mood and self worth fluctuated based on the number on the scale.

Good weight = Good Mood;

Bad weight = Bad mood.

Under the guidance of a Holistic Nutrition and Health Counselor, who taught me the "Eating Guidelines,"  I have learned to listen to my body and its wisdom.  I no longer torment myself for eating the foods I enjoy.  I live my life.

If this is something that you experience on a daily basis, don't deprive yourself any longer.  Contact me so we can start the healing.

My Qualifications

I received my training to practice Holistic Nutrition and Health Counseling at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, affiliated with Columbia University, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods.

As a Holistic Nutrition and Health Counselor, I follow the Integrative Nutrition pyramid, which depicts a balanced approach to nutrition: more high-quality, organic vegetables, fruits, complex carbohydrates, protein and water; less meat, milk, sugar and artificial food. The pyramid is surrounded with the primary food circle, the parts of life that satisfy our hunger for living and create a balanced life.
