Private and Group Posture Alignment Therapy
Posture Alignment therapy with Deb Preachuk, a certified Posture Alignment Specialist is a series of specific corrective posture and joint movement awareness exercises designed to address dysfunctional movement patterns and poor kinesthetic awareness. Posture alignment therapy in the Egoscue Method is best described as falling somewhere in between physical/athletic therapy, pilates and personal training. Deb will help guide you into postural awareness and teach you where you have been incorrectly holding or moving your body parts. The PAS guides the student to notice and feel the underlying mechanical cause of pain, not just on the band-aid on the sore spot approach. These corrective exercise techniques address muscle imbalances and joint misalignment which in turn Balance the Body and Relieve the Pain.
How?
Posture Alignment therapy is based on the concept of the body's blue print design. (http://www.egoscue.com/painfree/themethod.php) By working with a highly trained Posture Alignment Therapist, a series of need and function specific corrective exercises are selected for each client. Each exercise reintroduces proper posture, function and load to the major weight bearing joints and muscles. Over the course of a few short weeks, the body begins to return to it's functional blue print design allowing the client to move more freely, with less mechanical and muscular stress.
The result?
- Eliminate chronic pain
- Improved posture
- Increased flexibility
- Improved muscular strength and endurance
- Reduced joint stress and breakdown
- Improved balance and kinesthetic awareness
- Less tension and muscular stress
- More active lifestyle

You're probably exhausted, your arm may be painful and swollen, and the

recent studies indicate a link between moderate physical exercise and
