What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient, hands-on energy healing modality using the universal life force to effectively balance and heal the body, mind and spirit. It falls under the umbrella of alternative medicine, energy medicine and alternative healing.
What kinds of issues can Reiki help me with?
Reiki can be used for a variety of situations where the body's energy is in a state of imbalance whether it is spiritual, emotional, physical, mental, past, present or future. It can help with anything from maintaining health to anxiety and headaches to sore backs or broken bones. Reiki is often used to compliment or expedite results while using traditional medical treatments. Mental or physical issues may require other forms of professional therapy.

I was at the emergency room with my sister-in-law who was on the verge of passing away. I watched my brother silently grieving as she made no signs of being able to hear him speak. What happens in a Reiki session?
A Reiki session is referred to as a "chelation". The Reiki practitioner assesses the person's auric (energy) field and places his/her hands on the client for approximately 3 minutes per position (21 total) while channeling energy into the body with a specific intention. Sometimes the client has blocked energy, in which case the practitioner will use various methods to move and maniplulate the energy, releasing it from the body. When the healing is completed, the practitioner "seals" the client's auric field with a wonderful intention. It is highly recommended to drink as much water as you would after receiving a massage, due to the release of toxins in the body. Animals and children are exceptionally receptive to Reiki.
How many sessions does it take to heal an issue?
It depends on far too many factors to quote. It generally takes 1 - 6 sessions. I find that the more open and willing a person is to be healed and trust another person to do this for them, the faster the issue is released and relief is accomplished. I always discuss what to expect so you can receive the energy as thoroughly as possible.
Can Reiki be used to heal a home or office?
Yes, believe it or not, buildings can "collect" energy and even spirits. Reiki is a powerful tool to remove these unwanted energies, infuse the desired energy and bring balance to indoor environments.
"It wasn't long after moving into a new space that my husband and I realized we had a spirit living with us.
