Swamiji's Mission


Swamiji's focus is to live in peace and paradise and share this life with others, encouraging folks to live in their peace and joy and find their paradise. As we think - so is our reality.
Swamiji aims to continue making Ayurveda, the Vedic sciences, spirituality, and natural living understandable, usable, and enjoyable for everyone. His underlying focus is to find the basic universal laws of nature that operate in all areas of life (personal, health, family, career, environment, spiritual) and teach these simple principles as they relate to all the society (eg, alternative health, alternative education, natural economic theory, spiritual principles of the mind, organic gardening, etc).

There are two main areas Swamiji is focusing on, consultations to advise people, health professionals, and companies how they can live and thrive following Ayurveda and spiritual principles, offers books, herbs, and related items; and education and designing educational courses that show the interrelationship between all disciplines with each other, with humans, and with spirit.

1980 MA Non-Verbal Communication Research
1988 Ayurveda Certificate - Ayurvedic Institute
    Opened Ayurvedic Holistic Center
    Advanced private study with Benares Hindu University professors in India
    Met spiritual teacher (guru) in India
1989 Ayurveda Certification - American Institute of Vedic Studies
    Founded Hindu non-profit monastery in US - named Swami Narayan Tirtha Math to promote spirituality and Ayurveda
1990 Published spiritual book, Yoga Vani by Swami Shankar Purushottam Tirtha
    Advanced private study with Ayurvedic doctors in Himalayas
    Developed one of the first line of Ayurvedic herbal products in US
1991 Founded the International School of Ayurveda– (One of the first Ayurveda schools in US)
Advanced private study with Ayurvedic doctors in Himalayas
Received initiation into monkhood (sannyas) as swami from Guru in India
1995 Published second spiritual book, Guru Bani by same author
1998 Wrote the Ayurveda Encyclopedia (20,000 copies in print to date)
    Completed Ayurveda scientific research study on cost-comparisons
1999 Earned Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Ayurvedic Medicine (first in the US)
2000 Research study published in the American Ayurveda Journal – July
    Wrote the Ayurveda Primer [E-Book/interactive multimedia CD-ROM]
2007 Wrote Bhagavad Gita for Modern Times
2008 Began the Peace & Paradise World Tour (including Ayurveda & Gita)
2010 Began offering Instant Permanent Blessings on his radio show in & live gatherings
