My sweetheart awoke recently with all the classic symptoms, and though he put on a good face and went to work, he returned home early and went to bed. That evening, I applied the following oils on his back and the soles of his feet in this order, using (5) drops on the back (feathered up and down, and smeared around) and (3) drops total to coat the feet.
2. OREGANO & THYME (combined and applied at once)
5. THIEVES (antimicrobial blend)
Taint rocket science, just get the oils on there and let them do the work!
The following morning, no fever, no aches, no chills. Still some symptoms to move through, but a much healthier, happier and more comfortable process. Pretty amazing huh? He actually went to work that day and did fine.
A Bit About These Oils:
VALOR is always the first oil applied in the Raindrop Oils session. It begins balancing the electrical/nervous system, clearing stress, swelling and emotional blockages along the spine, and setting the stage for good healing to occur.
OREGANO & THYME offer unique benefit of cleansing cell receptor sites throughout the body that can become disadvantaged due to infection, toxins, heavy metals and trauma. These receptor sites, (envision thousands per cell, and trillions of cells) are responsible for receiving the body’s coded messages which control immune response, waking up, going to sleep, digestion, etc. A very important function indeed. Oregano & Thyme are like the ground forces, clearing the way for deep healing.

Physical Uses: Arthritis, rheumatism, respiratory infectious diseases, infections, tuberculosis, digestive problems, possible metabolic balancer, may strengthen vital centers of the body.
Emotional: Grounding – may strengthen one’s feeling of security.

Physical Uses: Infectious diseases, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer, hepatitis. May help to overcome fatigue and physical weakness after illness.

Another powerful infection fighter, Basil also works on muscle tissue among other things.
Medical Properties: Powerful anti-spasmodic, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant.
Physical Uses: Migraines, throat/lung infections, insect bites. May positively influence gastrointestinal challenges, poor memory, mental fatigue, and possibly relaxing to spastic muscles.
Emotional: Fights mental fatigue and helps one maintain an open mind.
Lavender, the mother of all healing herbs. When in doubt use Lavender as its chemistry is so broad that the body will take what it needs and utilize it for healing. Especially excellent for tissue regeneration and de-stressing. Naw… stress doesn’t precede illness… does it?
Medical Properties: Antiseptic, antifungal, analgesic, antitumoral, anticonvulsant, vasodilating, relaxant, anti-inflammatory, reduces blood fat/cholesterol, combats excess sebum on skin.
USES: Respiratory infections, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, menstrual problems/PMS, skin conditions (perinial repair, acne, eczema, psoriasis, scarring stretch marks), burns, hair loss, insomnia, nervous tension, balancing to sympathetic and parasympathetic function.
Fragrant Influence: Calming, relaxing, and balancing, both physically and emotionally.
A potent anti-microbial, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, immune stimulating blend… need we say more?
The ultimate amplifier – Peppermint is often applied last as it amplifies the action of the preceding oils, and drives them into the system efficiently, doing its magic along the way. Ahhhhhhh!
Medical Properties: Anti-inflammatory, anti-tumoral, anti-parasitic (worms), anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, gallbladder/digestive stimulant, pain-relieving, curbs appetite.
Physical Uses: Rheumatism/arthritis, respiratory infections (pneumonia, tuberculosis, etc), obesity, vital infections (Herpes simplex, herpes zoster, cold sores, human papilloma virus etc.) fungal infections/Candida, digestive problems, headaches, nausea, skin conditions (itchy skin, varicose veins, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis), scoliosis/lumbago/back problems. May stimulate the sensory and respiratory systems and provide nourishment of the nervous system. It may help to reduce fevers, fungal infection, nausea and vomiting. It has a synergistic effect with all other oils.
Emotional: May be purifying and stimulating to the conscious mind, enhances mental retention.
As and end note, Valor is applied again to seal in the other oils and encourage the body to hold this healing message.
FINAL TID BITS:
· No moist packs were utilized, though this certainly would have been an additional benefit (on the back and feet both).
· I like to wrap feet in moist towels and slip them into plastic bags and under warm blankets. Wring out the towels.
· Before using moist packs, be sure to coat the back with a small amount of V6, OrthoEase or a fatty oil (olive, grapeseed, jojoba, etc.) to decrease the burny chemistry of those hot infection fighting oils.
· Any number of oils could have been used for this sequence, so long as Valor, Oregano & Thyme were the first three oils.
· If you don’t have one oil, use what you do have.
· For less the a day’s wages, you may feel exceptional relief, move through symptoms quicker and more comfortabley.
· In this instance, many days of potentially lost wages were avoided.
Additionally, research indicates that fish oils help regulate the body’s immune response. Young Living offers an impeccable fish oil supplement that includes beneficial essential oils.
Elderberry has also been shown as highly beneficial in protecting against flu. Search the topic and see what you find.
